Classification of Core Welding Gun Accessories
Aug 29,2025
Function: To conduct current to the welding wire and guide its direction.
Material: Copper (ordinary), Chromium Zirconium Copper (high temperature resistance), Silver Plated Copper (better conductivity).
Key points for selection:
The aperture should match the diameter of the welding wire (such as using a 0.8mm conductive nozzle for 0.8mm welding wire).
Spraying ceramics or coatings can extend their lifespan (reduce splashing and adhesion).
Gas nozzle
Function: Protect the gas outlet, form a gas protection layer, and prevent oxidation of the weld seam.
Type:
Ceramic nozzle: resistant to high temperatures, suitable for long-term welding.
Metal nozzle: Strong durability, but requires regular cleaning of splashes.
Double layer nozzle: enhances gas protection effect and reduces porosity.
Size: The larger the diameter, the wider the gas coverage, but it may increase the consumption of argon gas.
Electrode Holder
Function: Connect the welding gun to the power supply and transmit current.
Type:
European interface: commonly seen in imported welding guns (such as Binzel, TBi).
Japanese interface: compatible with brands such as Panasonic and OTC.
Quick connector: easy to replace welding gun and improve efficiency.
Wire Liner
Function: Guide the welding wire from the wire feeder to the welding gun, reducing friction.
Material:
Plastic hose: lightweight, but prone to wear and tear.
Steel hose: durable and suitable for high-strength welding.
Teflon coated hose: reduces wire adhesion and ensures smoother wire feeding.
Insulator
Function: Isolate conductive parts, prevent short circuits, and ensure safety.
Material: Ceramic, plastic or rubber, requiring high temperature resistance and electrical insulation.
